Today, I found out the presentation I've been looking forward to and preparing for months only has three people registered to attend. I'll be talking to an empty room for an hour. FML

That's miserable. I've been there, and I know. The best thing to do, even though it's hard, is to go ahead and give it all you've got, making the best presentation you can, in spite of the empty room. That's not just a piece of pollyannaish buck-up advice; it will be a useful training experience, toughening you up for future situations where you have to perform under difficult conditions.

When this happens to me (and it happens to everyone) I pull them into a circle and do a casual walkthru of the content. Only a cunt would do a formal preso for 3 people.
